On Oct 17th, the demonstration activity of poverty alleviation for the youth named “ poverty alleviation for the youth’s growth and a well-off society” was jointly hosted by China Communist Youth League Yichang Committee, the Municipal Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development and other departments in Zhijiang County-level City. Liu Xuefu, Member of Standing Committee of Municipal Committee, Director of United Front Work Department of Yichang Municipality and Chairman of the General Labor Union of Yichang City, attended the activity and announced the official start.

At the ceremony, China Communist Youth League Yichang Committee gave out the fund of 200,000 yuan substituting subsidies with rewards from the program 2015 “Home of Hope” for caring; Yihua Group donated 100 fixed-line phones and free basic communication expense for two years to the left-behind children in the rural area of Zhijiang; Hubei Sanning Chemi_industry Co., Ltd donated 20 tons of chemical fertilizer to young entrepreneurs there; Skyworth Group donated 10 washing machines to partial families with financial difficulties; Agricultural Bank of China and other four banks provided the credit extension for the programs of “poverty alleviation for the youth” in the whole Yichang, which would fund the young entrepreneurs with the line of credit of 2 million yuan. It was learnt from Wang Yunqing, Secretary of China Communist Youth League Yichang Committee, that the work for “poverty alleviation for the youth” would be widely carried out from the five aspects of “supporting the youth entrepreneurship and employment in the rural area, choosing and setting youth models of casting off poverty to get rich in the rural area, fostering youth e-commerce entrepreneurs in the rural area, serving the left-behind children for their healthy growth in the rural area and promoting the voluntary poverty alleviation for the youth”. Fully relying on the strong support of different departments at different levels, it would target the youth with financial difficulties, integrate and utilize various social resources, organize and mobilize the youth social organization and China Communist Youth League at various levels.

35 enterprises from the whole Yichang City participated in the charity fairs, where the merchandise was sold at a lower price than the market price. The sales revenue and charity goods and materials totally worth more than 200,000 yuan, regulated by China Communist Youth League Zhijiang Committee, would be the special fund for supporting the left-behind children and vulnerable group of youth.
