As the major “Benefaction to People” project of municipal government in 2015, the first batch of over 20,000 citizen cards which is an important part of “Wisdom Yichang” were distributed yesterday. At present, Yichang citizen card has realized the function of social security card, health card, medical card, bus card and debit card. It also marks that Yichang takes the lead in achieving citizen “All-in-one Card” in the whole province.

　　The first-time application for citizen cards has two ways: apartment appliance and individual appliance. Currently, if the citizens participate in social security in urban apartment, their cards will be applied and distributed collectively by the related apartment.

　　The staffs of public transport, medical and health care, finance and other relevant departments came to Yichang Citizen Card Service Center to activate the first batch of citizen cards. The activated cards were distributed to the staffs of appliance apartment.

　　For the urban flexible employees and the retirees, our city is going to start distributing community citizen cards. For the citizens of community citizen cards, they can choose nearest citizen cards binding banking branches to active the card’s function.

　　By the end of this year, Yichang will distribute 200 thousand citizen cards, and by the end of next June, the number will reach 800-1000 thousand. (Journalist Pei Shujing, correspondent Hu Yichun)
