According to the Project Construction Headquarters Office of Dianjun District, the construction of linear watercourse green project, bridge for vehicle project, dam project and part of earthworks of the main body in Juanqiao River Large Scale Wetland Park will start within this year.

The Juanqiao River Wetland Park lays the west of Moji Mountain Park, adjacent to Yichang Olympic Sports Centre. The park is encircled by Jiangnan Avenue, Shuangshi Road, Wulong 3rd Road, Dianjun 1st Road, Juanqiao River 2nd Road, and Jiangjun Road, including the area of the both sides of Juanqiao River estuary to Yangtze River. The area of the project covers 178 hectares with one billion investment in total. The duration of the project is two years, and it is expected to complete by the end of 2017.

The project includes mountain sanctuary area, linear park area, tourism area and wetland experience area. 19 bridges of three kinds will be built, including seven lift pedestrian bridges, eight pedestrian bridges in the park and four cross Juanqiao River pedestrian bridges. Five water platforms and seven bird-watching platforms will be built.

After the completion of the Juanqiao River Wetland Park, it will form a scenic core with Moji Mountain Park.  (Correspondent Li Falan, Journalist Chen Xi)
