December 1st is the 28th "World AIDS Day", the theme of which this year is still "action, and move forward to \'zero\' AIDS." Yesterday, reporters learned from the Municipal Center for Disease Control that from January to October this year, Yichang newly found 98 cases of AIDS infected people and patients, among which 42 cases are AIDS patients.

　　Since the first case of AIDS infection was found in 1995, and now Yichang has 269 cases of AIDS infection and 252 cases of AIDS patients by the end of October, 2015. Among the newly found AIDS infected people and patients, there are 52 cases through heterosexual transmission, 44 cases through homosexual transmission and 2 cases through drug injection and sexual activities, accounting for 53.06%, 44.90%, 2.04% respectively.

　　According to the experts, the main characters of our city\'s HIV epidemic of 2015 are as follows: Firstly, low prevalence and high growth. Secondly, sexual transmission is the main mode of transmission, and homosexual transmission indicates an obvious growth. Thirdly, the proportion of men and women infected with HIV is increasing, and male patients are increasing year by year. Forth, most people find themselves infected with HIV too late. Fifth, HIV spreads from high-risk groups to the general, in which young infected people aged 15-24 are increasing year by year and most of whom are highly educated homosexual unmarried men.

　　Class-2 medical institutions and above in our city were built with AIDS primary screening laboratories while community health centers and rural health centers are setting up AIDS screening spots. At present, the AIDS testing network which takes the Center for Disease Control and Prevention as a leader, and its branches include medical units, maternal and child health, regulatory sites, and rehabilitation institutions have been formed. Yichang actively carries out active screening of high-risk groups, and about 50,000 people from all works of life are inspected annually.

　　In addition, government of Yichang launched the new medical cooperation model of AIDS prevention and treatment, and established "prevention, administration and control" joint management mechanism to promote health management of AIDS patients and infected persons, and improve working process of AIDS which is" active surveillance, treatment with classification, fixed treatment and whole-process management ". There are 10 AIDS fixed treatment hospitals in Yichang, and the Third People\'s Hospital of Yichang is the municipal-level designated hospital. By the end of October this year, 536 people have received treatment in total, and 413 people are receiving treatment.
