The November 20th saw the inaugural meeting of Yichang Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (YCCS) held in Pudong New District of Shanghai.
While facing the major national strategic opportunities of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and“One Belt and One Road”, Yichang has been striving to be a leading one of non-provincial capital cities in central China by its development of the “Six Major 100 bln Industries”---fine chemicals, food biomedicine, advanced equipment manufacturing, new materials, modern logistics, and cultural tourism; its accelerating pace in the construction of national comprehensive key traffic and logistics hub, the demonstration base of national industrial transformation and upgrading, and regional central city along the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River. He noted with expectation that YCCS would be a harbor for Yichang fellowmen in Shanghai and welcomed all its entrepreneurs to invest back home. He said Yichang would further optimize its development environment and government administration and give full support to entrepreneurs starting businesses in hometown to realize mutual development.
At present, YCCS has more than 200 enterprise members, involving sectors such as electronic technology, building materials, financial securities, and transportation and logistics. The newly elected President Yao Yi said YCCS would be built into a platform for Yichang people in Shanghai of business exchange, of starting businesses and expansion, investment promotion to propel the development of hometown.
On the same day, YCCS officially launched its charity project. Zhang Senhui at Fudan University and other 9 Yichang college students in Shanghai received the grants from YCCS. (Reporter Gao Aimin, Correspondent Fan Yuandong)
