When the working team of precise poverty alleviation was paying a visit to Gufu Town, Salt-water Village, Xingshan County, they found that among the branches on the cliff were severely shaking and heard the sound of monkeys quarreling and fighting noisily. Based on carefully observation, about five monkeys were finally found in the bushes, part of which were covered with snowy, long and thin fur, suspected as golden monkey group.

　　The Salt-water Village lies in the northwest of Gufu Town, bordering on the Shennongjia Forest District. In recent years, owning to the measures of returning the cultivated land to forest and the removal of the villagers, its ecology has been well restored and the number of wild animals is gradually increasing.
