On Dec 21st, a cooperation framework agreement has been signed between Yichang and the China Communications Construction Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as CCCC). According to the agreement, the CCCC will, during the “Thirteenth- Five- Year” period, invest 50 billion yuan in Yichang to carry out a comprehensive cooperation in urban infrastructure, environmental protection, public service facilities, affordable housing, comprehensive development, cultural tourism development and other areas.

Chen Fenjian the president of CCCC, Zhen Shaohua and Wang Haihuai, the vice president of CCCC, Huang Chuping,the Provincial Committee and the Party Secretary of Yichang, Ma Xuming, the deputy party secretary and the mayor, Mao Chuanqiang, the municipal committee and vice mayor attended the signing ceremony.

During the ceremony, the both sides carried out a in-depth discussion. Huang Chuping appreciated the support from CCCC for Hubei province and Yichang city and introduced the provincial and municipal planning during the “Thirteenth- Five- Year” period. He said, Yichang has been seizing the strategic opportunity of “One Road, One Belt” and “The Yangtze River Economic development Belt” to promote the comprehensive transportation system of the Three Gorges, the New Channel, the economic hub of the Three Gorges Area and Hubei Yichang FTA (Free Trade Area) and to speed up the modern mega-metropolis construction process. In order to achieve the goal, we are supposed to rely on the involvement of large projects and the cooperation with large enterprises like the CCCC. Both sides are expected to stand in line with the signed agreement and comprehensive cooperation in many areas. He also said,Yichang will whole-heartedly to ensure and serve the construction of CCCC in Yichang to achieve win-win results and bring forth a bright future.

After watching the promo “Call of a Dream City”, Chen Fenjian praised the promising future of Yichang and expressed his gratitude for the support from CCCC. He said, the blueprint of the central region and the Yichang must be prosperous and the cooperation of the CCCC and Hubei, Yichang has laid a solid foundation thus both sides are expected to strengthen the government-enterprise cooperation during the “Thirteenth- Five-Year Plan” period to achieve further cooperation. This agreement has been regarded as a breakthrough and the starting point to promote the construction of major roads, bridges and other critical projects for the mega-metropolis construction of Yichang.

Ranking No.165 among the top 500 enterprises in the world, the CCCC has been assessed as one of “10 Key Enterprises with International Business Strategy” and “10 Key Potential Top-class Enterprises”. The Shanghai -YangshanDeepwater Port, Sutong Yangtze River Bridge and Hangzhou Cross-Sea Bridge constructed by the CCCC are representatives of the world-class quality.

The CCCC has carried out a favorable cooperation with Yichang with the investment of 6 billion yuan.
