December 23th witnessed the groundbreaking ceremony of URD Jiangnan ecological new town project and the commencement ceremony of the eighth batch of Yichang new area key projects in Jiangnan Dianjun district, which started the construction of the 28 major projects with a total investment of 19.642 billion. It is another big event in Yichang after the CBD commencement in March this year. So far, newly started major projects in Yichang new area have reached 201. On the very day, Huang Chuping, member of the standing committee of Hubei Province and also the secretary of Yichang Municipal Party Committee, conducted field research on the project construction, joined by Ma Xuming, the vice secretary of Yichang Municipal Party Committee and the mayor.

With a total investment of 15 billion yuan, the Jiangna ecological new city is the largest among the social investment projects in this starting ceremony, and it is a key investment project in Hubei by Hubei Erxi Eco-Cultural Tourism Circle Investment Co. Ltd (HEETCIC).

During the commencement activity, Huang Chuping met with Ma Qingming, Party secretary and chairman of HEETCIC and his group. Huang Chuping said, at the critical constructin period of Yichang into a modern megacity, the company’s investment was a great gift for Yichang citizens and highly accorded to the spirit of both the central economic working conference and the central city working conference recently held in Beijing, and added confidence and momentum to the development of Yichang. He also expressed his hope that the company would abide by the four first-rate standards and accelerate the construction of Jiangnan ecological new city so as to build it into a model of post-modern, green and smart cities. In the end, he said that the city government would firmly establish the concept of “Industry comes first, enterprisers rank number one”, take the enterprise business as a part of its own matters and it would provide the enterprises with full support and devoted services so as to realize the cooperation between the government and enterprises and a win-win development. 　　　　

The 13 municipal infrastructure projects started this time are mainly matching roads for the different districts of the city and major projects. The start of these projects will contribute to the interconnection between the different regions under the three-level loop grid framework.
