TGG Gains Right to Develop a Hydropower Station in Pakistan

According to the China Three Gorges Group, it has successfully obtained the right to develop the Kohala hydropower project with an installed capacity of 1.1 million kilowatts in Pakistan.

According to the Three Gorges Group, the Kohala hydropower project is a project being vigorously advanced by the "China-Pakistan Economic Corridor" and also the flagship hydropower project which has received the largest investment from the Three Gorges Group in Pakistan’s hydropower market. In September 2015, the Kohala project company of the Three Gorges Project Group was officially registered in the Securities and Exchange Commission in Pakistan.

On December 31, 2015, the Kohala project of the Three Gorges Group successfully received the letter of support issued by the Private Power and Infrastructure Committee of Pakistan which confirmed the Group’s right for the Kohala hydropower project.
