The opening ceremony of Yichang Cloud Incubator was held on January 15 in Yichang Cloud Incubator Building Square of high- and new- tech zone in Yichang.

Song Wenbao, member of the Standing Committee of Municipal Party Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor, and Zhuang Guangming, member of the Standing Committee of Municipal Party of Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the high- and new- tech zone in Yichang attended the opening ceremony. Zhang Jingan, former Party Commission member of the Ministry of Science and former President of Science and Technology Daily, President Shen Changjiang of China Science and Technology Institute, the Deputy Director Peng Quan of Provincial Science and Technology Bureau and deputy mayor Wang Yinghua gave speeches respectively.

Zhang Jingan said in his speech that the cloud computing was of epoch-making   importance regarding the innovation-driven development strategy proposed by the 18th CPC National Congress. Yichang has taken the leading place with regard to building the high-end platform for cloud computing incubator cloud in central and western China, highlighting the historic responsibility and the vision of the times of Yichang.　　

Shen Changjiang said the reason for this project to be located in Yichang, was that the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government of Yichang attached great importance to the smart city construction with the cloud computing as a representative. Also, the smart city construction in Yichang remained the leading place in the country in many aspects. Today, in the critical period for the state’s innovative transformation and Internet economy growth, the China Academy of Science and Technology was confident and determined to build the platform of Yichang cloud computing incubator into a managerial and operating model for other a dozen cloud computing incubators across the country of the institute, thus making a due contribution for smart city construction of Yichang.

Wang Yinghua said that, in recent years Yichang has comprehensively promoted innovation-driven development strategy, which was successfully approved to construct national and innovative pilot city and selected into one of the pilot cities for national smart city construction. The completion of Yichang cloud incubators played a very important role in promoting the smart city construction and high-tech industry development. Yichang would further improve policies and provide quality services to fully support enterprises’ innovation and development.

At the opening ceremony, entrepreneurial parlor awarding ceremony and entrepreneurial parlor inauguration of cloud computing incubator were held. At the same time, “Cloud Creating Future: Smart Yichang” Summit Forum and Roadshow activities (at Yichang) were also held.  (Reporter Zhang Yanghen, Correspondent Hu Jingjing)
