The Yichang government held a spring-festival gathering for foreign experts on January 22. The vice Mayor Zhou Zhengying attended this activity.

Zhou Zhengying said that the foreign experts, taking all the trouble travelling to Yichang from afar,  have overcome many inconveniences in their lives and work and made significant contributions to Yichang’s economy, science and technology, culture, education and other fields. As the Spring Festival approaches, the Yichang government held this gathering to express thanks to all the foreign experts.

Up to December, 2015, there were 87 foreign experts in Yichang coming from nearly 22 countries like Australia, Thailand, India, Romania, Denmark, Korea, Japan and USA. Since 1996, 15 excellent foreign experts have received the Bianzhong (bronze chime) Award issued by the Hubei Provincial Government. (Reporter: Cao Yang)
