The Hubei Environmental Protection Committee issued the nomination of 92 “provincial eco-friendly towns” and 1,062 “provincial eco-friendly villages” of 2015 on January 26.  

Nine towns have won the  title of “Eco-friendly Town at the Provincial Level”, namely the Fenxiang town of Yiling District, the Maoping Town and Shazhen River town of Zigui County, the Gaoqiao town and Shuiyue Temple town of Xingshan County, the Kekou Town and Leizu Town of Yuanan County,  the Moshi Town and Duzhenwan Town of Tujia Autonomous County of Changyang. The Qinglin Temple village of Gaobazhou Town and other 50 administrative villages in Yichang also win the honorable title of “Eco-friendly Village at the Provincial Level”.

Yichang has succeeded in establishing 21 eco-friendly towns and 91 eco-friendly villages at the provincial level by the end of 2015. (Reporter: Wang Ying; correspondent: Shang Qinghua)
