From last Friday, all the old people over 60 in Luxiiping Village Letianxi Town, Yiling District received, one after another, a 500-hundred-yuan red envelop for the New Year from the village committee. These red envelops were given by a boss named Wang Xidian who came from this village and acts now as the Executive Vice President of Shenzhen Streamax Technology Co., Ltd.

The story that Boss Wang are sending envelops is well spoken in the local area. When talking about this, Wang Xidian says that he just wants to pay a new year’s greeting to all the old people in his village.

“Xidian are sending red envelops to us!”

327 old people in the whole village have received a 500-hundred-yuan red envelop.

“Xidian are sending red envelops to us!” In the morning of 23rd , an old man Wang Huaxin from Luxiping Village Letianxi Town, Yiling District received a 500-hundred-yuan red envelop form the officer of the village committee and signed his conforming sheet and left a fingerprint on it.

The red envelops are sent by the Executive Vice President of Shenzhen Streamax Technology Co.,Ltd who comes from this village and is called Xidian sincerely by villagers.

 “Please help me count the number of the old people over 60.” At the beginning of this year, the village secretary of Luxiping Village Lu Guanjun received a phone call from Wang Xidian who was in Shenzhen at that time. According to the statistics by Lu Guanjun, there are 327 old people who are over 60 in their village. After the counting, Lu Guanjun sent the information sheet to Wang. Soon after that 163,500 yuan were transferred to the account of village committee. “Secretary Lu, please do me a favor to send each old man a 500-hundred-yuan red envelop and just help me to pay a new year’s greetings to them.” Wang Xidian told Lu Guanjun on the phone.

There are five teams in Luxiping Village and the red envelops are sent one by one according to the arrangement of the officers of the village committee. Up to the afternoon of 27th, four teams have been given the red envelopes and the last team will get its gift on today. “Xidian is such a successful man now and he never forgets us!” said by Wang’s uncle Wang Zuoda with smile when he received the red envelop given by his nephew form the officer.

 “Pay my new year’s greetings to all the old people”

The “rich” boss never forgets his hometown people after carving out a successful business.

 “There is no need in interviewing me. We are all from the same village. I cannot come back this year, so I just want to pay a new year’s greeting to the old in this way. ” On the noon of 27th Wang politely refused the invitation offered by the reporter on the phone when he called to make an interview about his story.

Wang Xidian was born in 1969 and graduated from National University of Defense Technology in 1986 with a major in Electronic Technology. After that he worked as a software worker in Changhong Company for many years. In 1998, he started his own business with some partners and founded Shenzhen Streamax Technology Co.,Ltd and  served as the Executive Vice President.

His company mainly focuses on informationization service of business vehicle. In 2008, as the only supplier of public transit intelligent system for the Beijing Olympic Games, his company provided an integrated solution of sports event broadcasting, intelligent vehicle scheduling, automatic station reporting and security monitoring for about 7000 service buses of the Olympic Games. In 2009, as the only manufacturer of core equipment, his company served for the Jinan National Sports Game and provided car integrated security monitoring system with 3G video transfer functions for 2000 service bus of the game.

Wang Xidian said that he was busy with work, and had no time to return home, visiting his parents and villagers, but he missed them very much. During the National Day Holiday of 2015 when he returned home, he decided to send red envelops to the old when he knew that there were many old people in his village. He told this to his father at once and won his father’s big support. “He is now capable of doing this, I totally agree” said by his father Wang Zuodi, who just returned from his Spring Festival visit of his second daughter in Sichuan a few days ago.. He said his son’s idea was great. In normal days this old man looks after a 2 mu (about 1333.4 square meters) tea garden at home. He lives in his children’s homes only during the festivals and holidays.

This is not the first time that he has done kind deeds.

He once made a donation to help the village to build trade center

There are 1565 people in Luxiping Village and 2/3 of the people come from one big family named Wang.

In the eyes of Wang Zuoda, uncle of Wang, Xidian was a little naughty but very smart in his childhood. Most importantly, he respected the old. When Xidian came to play at his home, he often helped the adults to do farm work. When he went to the university, Xidian did not come back that often. But the few times that he came back home hurriedly, he would stop at his uncle’s home and chat with the old generations.

Wang Xidian is the biggest child in his family and he has three sisters. According to Wang Zuoda, Xidian lived with his grandparents and the second uncle and aunt when he was young. There were about 10 people in the whole family. His father Wang Zuodi worked as a tailor and often helped people outside to make clothes to cover family expenses. They experienced lots of hard times.

Wang Xidian said that he did not come back home that often so he did not know many of his villagers. He hoped to strengthen the relationship with his old villagers in this way and to further express his heart.

According to the Village Secretary Lu Guanjun, in the year 2013 when they were building a tea trade center in the village, they were short of money. So they called Wang Xidian, who donated 50000 yuan at once without hesitation.

Luxiping Village lives on tea and chestnut growing at present. Most people are farming at home but almost earn the same money as the city workers. Most young men in the village do not have any contacts with Wang Xidian, but the story about red envelops sending is well spread in local area.
