On Jan. 25th and 26th, the policemen from the criminal investigation brigade of the public security bureau in Yidu City went to Wuhan twice and caught two suspects involved in household robbery happening in Zhicheng Town of Yidu City four years ago under the assistance of local policemen. At present, two suspects have been detained and the case is under further investigation. 

One Store Robbed Late at Night

At 23:00 on Sept. 24th, 2012, Mr. Chen, the owner of a store on Danyang Avenue in Zhicheng Town of Yidu City, was resting inside after closing the store. Suddenly, he was awakened by the opening of rolling gate of the store and saw two young guys standing in front of him.

Two guys said they wanted to buy something. However, they were of ferocious features and grabbed the drawer and money inside when Mr. Chen opened it to find changes for them. Mr. Chen chased after them, picking up the wooden bench beside, but only to be wounded by the two guys with steel tubes. Neighbors rushed over there on hearing the cries, but found them gone.

After counting the money, Mr. Chen was robbed of over 3000 yuan. The policemen extracted relevant trace material evidence on the spot after hearing the call from Mr. Chen.

Familiar Suspects

In Jan., 2016, the public security bureau of Yidu City received a piece of important information from relevant departments that the policemen have successfully compared trace material evidence extracted on the spot, finally making advances in the household robbery case four years ago. Two suspects, Zeng who is 20 years old from Chongqing and Li who is 19 years old from Wuhan, emerged from the water. When the policemen checked their information, they found out that these two criminals were so familiar.    

It turned out that on Sept. 28th, 2012, the criminal investigation brigade of the public security bureau in Yidu City received a report from the mass that someone sold an unknown car branded with the Great Wall but without license plate around Yuanlin Avenue in Lucheng Sub-district. The policemen brought these two men back to the criminal investigation brigade for interrogation. Two suspects admitted their charge of robbing the car in Jianghan District of Wuhan on Sept. 12th, 2012. Later, the policemen handed over two men to Wuhan police. They were sentenced to three years and six months in jail due to robbery crime. These two men were exactly Zeng and Li who were chased online by the policemen.

Two suspects had records 

Early in the morning on Jan. 25th, 2016, Zeng was caught by local policemen in Caidian District, Wuhan City when he stayed at one hotel. On the next day, Li was also caught in Caidian District, Wuhan City when he was surfing the Internet in some cyber cafe. On Jan. 26th, these two men were taken to Yidu by Yidu police and confessed everything about household robbery in Zhicheng Town in the evening on Sept. 24th, 2012.

It turned out that these two guys got acquainted after dropping out of middle school and followed family to do some part-time jobs. Late on Sept. 12th, 2012, out of abrupt intention, they robbed a car and 3000 yuan in Jianghan District, Wuhan City, and then met net friends in Yidu. After a few days when spenting all money, they conducted the household robbery on Sept. 24th, and sold the robbed car after spending all stolen cash, only to be caught by the policemen. After serving their sentence, they were caught again due to the robbery case four years ago. (Reporter: Gong Changjun; Correspondent: Chen Yajun, Yang Zhe)
