According to the Municipal Price Bureau, CPI of 2015 rose modestly in the urban area, presenting the smooth running trend. Market price worked basically stable and the consumption price in the urban area grew accumulatively to 1.5% last year.

According to the statistical analysis, for adequate food supply last year, the overall food market ran smooth. In 2015 the polished long-grained non-glutinous rice charged for 2.71 yuan per 500 gram, growing up 5.9% compared with the same period in 2014. Polished round-shaped rice costs 2.58 yuan per 500 gram with an decrease of 1.15% and flour (standard flour) was 2.22 yuan per 500 gram, falling 2.63%.

There is a slight decline in the price of edible oil. In 2015, average retail price of rapeseed oil is 61 Yuan/barrels in the urban markets with a decrease of 6.2%, and five-liter-barreled soybean blend oil charged 50 yuan per barrel, 9.1% price down. 

Pork price is volatile but there is an overall rising trend. In the year 2015, the average procurement price of hog in the city was 7.23 yuan per 500 gram, 18.15% up. The lean price was 16.47 yuan per 500 gram, 13.35% up. Ribs was priced at 17.92 per 500 gram with an increase of 20.03%. Last year, the pork price in the city showed a tendency of “down-up-down”, but it rose overall. From January to March, influenced by the post Spring Festival reduced consumption, the price of pork overall decreased. From April to September, the pork price rebounded, leading to month-on-month price rise. During October to December, under the ample supply and the effective demand reduction, the pork price fell slightly then stop rising but the price was still higher than that in 2014.

There is an overall decline in egg price. Currently the egg charges 5.5 yuan per 500 gram, 19.12% down. From January to July, the egg price of descended amid the oversupply. From August to September, the torrid weather resulted in demand reduction and then the price rebounded. However, from October to November, owing to the reinstatement of demand, price came down. In December, the dropped temperatures, together with the festival factors, led to the slight rise of egg price.

Vegetable Price of average quality witnessed ups and downs on year-on-year basis. Among them the Chinese cabbage was priced at 1.42 yuan per 500 gram with an increase of 27.93%. Radish was priced at 1.06 yuan per 500 gram with a drop of 5.36% down. The average price of the 13 kinds of monitored vegetables charged 2.57 yuan per 500 gram, 11.26% up. Besides, the average price of apple was 5.98 yuan per 500 gram, which rose by 28.3% and the banana 2.92 yuan per 500 gram with a drop of 6.11%. (Reporter: Pei Shujing)
