After visiting the phase achievement of Zigui County and Yiling District, the site exchange conference on signage construction of tourism toilets and tourist guide was held this week in Yiling district. The person in charge（more than 50 participants）of Municipal Tourism Bureau, City Management Committee, Municipal Transportation Bureau, Three Gorges Tourism New District Administrative Committee, Counties and High-tech District and the director of Tourism Bureau attended the conference. Zhou Zhengying, the vice major, attended the conference as well.

At the conference, the director of Municipal Tourism Bureau, Kong Lei informed the overall progress of the city’s tourism standardization project. Since the announcement of the project, Yichang has already attained the phase achievement -- the four major public service projects  of standardization of tourism, namely, tourist hub, tourist information center, tourism public information guide identification system and toilets for tourists, which have been invested 0.267 billion, showing steady progress with featured momentum.

Zhou Zhengying pointed out that toilets for tourists and travelling guide signage construction have been advanced orderly therefore phase achievement has been made and a number of models have been set to  the public. The year 2016 will be the year of acceptance of appraisal work. Zhou requested that the work should be completed with quantity, high quality and timely standard. The concerned office is requested to make an operational incentive management and assessment plan concerning toilets for tourists. The activity can be carried out by means of “Supervision and Competition”, which means regular supervision, special supervision and experiential supervision. Try to appraise the toilets for tourists through comparison among the counties and cities. Try to appraise the advanced construction and management social unit. Try to appraise the excellent cleaners for toilets for tourists. Zhou stressed that in the year 2016 Yichang will be transformed from the unitary sightseeing type to sightseeing and leisure type. The construction of Pinghu Peninsula, Cruise Center and other 11 leisure resorts will be the focus in the future. Yichang is supposed to be made the destination of Three Gorges International Tourism, specialty of China leisure outing and the preference of rural tourism in western Hubei Province.
