ZTE Seek for Cooperation on “Smart City” in Yichang

On Feb. 23rd, Luo Yingqun, the vice president of ZTE (Zhongxing Telecommunications Equipment) Corporation, and his delegation came to Yichang to hold negotiation on issues of smart city college and medical health industrial park and related issues including smart city, smart healthcare, smart transportation, smart education and smart tourism. Vice secretary of municipal party committee and the mayor, Ma Xuming met them in the city. Zhuang Guangming, standing committee of the municipal party committee and the secretary of the party working committee of Yichang high-tech zone, and Wang Yinghua, the vice mayor participated in the symposium.

At the symposium, Wang Yinghua extended welcome to Luo Yingqun and his team and introduced the economic and social development of Yichang. He said that the important strategic position and obvious location advantage of Yichang, boost its excellent software and hardware conditions in the construction of smart city, which have laid a good foundation for this cooperation. He hoped that through the cooperation with ZTE, a batch of new-type talents would be cultivated as the intellectual protection for the development of smart city. At the same time, by deepening the cooperation in smart city circle, a group of modern information enterprises can be developed, thus the sustainable development of smart city can be promoted through the idea of industrial development. Besides, cooperation can also be realized on the development of modern service industry by means of promoting the rapid development in medical treatment, education, healthcare and tourism.

Luo Yingqun said that, the investment environment in Yichang is good and Yichang is a good city for both residing and travelling. He also said that the cooperation of ZTE with Yichang is promising and the Internet plus medical operating base and industrial base are planned to be built in Yichang, thus combining the construction of smart city with industrial development to promote the sustainable development of smart city. (Reporter: Li Pengfei)
