Xiling district held industry development and the promotion of key projects work conference on March 11th, which aimed at increasing the scale of modern commercial logistics industry to 40 billion yuan, and other five major industries, including tourism and leisure, financial services, culture and innovation, wisdom and healthy life, to 10 billion yuan respectively within 3 to 5 years, so as to accelerate the construction of the six largest scale, complete categories and high-end modern service systems in Yichang City.

In 2015, the added value of Xiling district service industry broke through 20 billion yuan, accounting 68% of the total value. In January, on the Seventh Session of the Tenth Central Committee and economic work conference of Xiling district, the area has clearly stated the Development strategic orientation of “1456” and the thirteenth Five Year Plan and defined Xiling district as the center of business, financial information service, tourism service, science and education.

On the basis of focusing on "leading industry", fostering new power, and  meeting the requirement of building national innovative demonstration city, Xiling district will prioritize the development of six major green industries, set up six specialized industries, including financial services industry, tourism and leisure industry, health industry, cultural and creative industry, modern commercial logistics industry.  

At the same day, by the standing committee of the CPC committee of coalesced into six district party committee, deputy secretary and chief executive of the Xiling district committee Ren Wei respectively signed the liability form, which demands that six specialized industries formulate preferential policy of industrial projects and annual promotion project, and introduce three new signing projects over billions as well as two newly-commented projects over billions.

Xiling district plans to introduce several key projects, spin industry chain, form six tens of billions industries within 3 to 5 years , make trillions of industry cluster, build six high-end modern service industry systems with the largest scale and complete categories aiming at fully upgrading its development strength.

Xiling district party committee and the district government will form inspection group to supervise and handle each industry planning, investment promotion and capital introduction, project tracking, contract signing, construction, fixed-asset investment progress, and oversee quarterly bulletin and annual appraisal.

To promote the development of six green industries, Xiling district has invited an expert team of Nanjing University to work out the industrial spatial distribution planning and established the global investment, total investment and full responsibility work pattern. 29 county leaders have been to project front line by person, and provided 69 key projects of this area with one-on-one service. (Reporter Deng Huali)
