On March 20th, the Yiling village tour “Booming flowers in villages of Hubei Province, enjoyable flower Tour” is inaugurated in Nanya village, Fenxiang town, Yiling district, attracting over 35,000 tourists from Wuhan and Yichang. They enjoy appreciating the flowers, taking photographs and sketching in the rape flower fields.
Zhou Zhengsu, deputy director of Provincial Tourism and Zhou Zhengying, Vice Mayor attended the opening ceremony. Zhou issued "Top 20 Hubei village flowers Tour sites ", and “Nanya Flower Fields”. The awarded 2015 top 10 “beautiful villages” in Yiling District include the villages such as Guanzhuang, Nanya, Shipai, Nanchawang, Yaojiping, and Shangyang, each of which received a prize of 200,000 RMB. On the day of the ceremony, there are eight theme activities such as leisure tour in flower fields, folk culture show, outdoor exhibition of graffiti exhibition, love matching game, charming Yiling exhibition, distinctive trade fair, forum for making fortune.
By building rural tourism platform, organizing countryside view sightseeing, eating rustic dishes, watching folk performances and enjoying the rustic fun, the city recommended six rustic tour routes, which are “fragrant rice” outdoor leisure sports travel, colorful garden tour in Fenxiang town, tea experiencing tour in tea villages, knowledge popularizing tour presenting ornamental rocks, Bai Lihuang holiday tour and Huangbai river tour. Meanwhile, the four-season tours, based on the themes of "Spring language", "Summer Dream", "Autumn Melody", "Winter Love" are to be launched, together with 42 one-year-round colorful activities to appreciate the rustic beauty of Yiling District.
In recent years, Yiling District has been adhering to the two driving forces of scenic tours and village tours, forming a global travel pattern in which we take key scenic spots as the mainstream, rural tourist routes as the supporting one. By 2015, the district tourist reception capacity reaches 10.54 million passengers, with tourism comprehensive revenue of more than 1.05 billion yuan. Meanwhile rural tourism reception number climbs up to 300 million people, creating an economic value of over 20 billion yuan, directly increasing employment opportunities for 4,000 peasants, and indirectly promoting income with per capita 5,000 yuan for more than 40,000 peasants. Accordingly, the district is awarded one of top 10 tourism counties of “beautiful China”.
