International Route from Yichang to South Korea launched

At 13:00 on April 2th, operated by the Asiana Airlines, the second largest airline of South Korea, Flight OZ3755 from Incheon to Yichang slowly descended at the Three Gorges Airport, which signifies the direct flights between Yichang and South Korea has been officially launched. It is regarded as an important step toward the opening up of Yichang aviation port.

With a capacity of 168 passengers and 100% attendance, Flight OZ3755 flies from Incheon to Yichang. Flight OZ3755 from Yichang to Incheon also can accommodate 168 passengers with 100% attendance. The tourists from South Korean will visit the renowned attractions such as the Three Gorges Dam, Three Gorges Households, Qingjiang Gallery, Three Gorges Great Falls, Qu Yuan Temple, Xiaoting Ancient Battlefields and etc. There were 12 Yichang-Bushan fight test operations last year, which gains the favor of tourists from Yichang and South Korea.

This year, the municipal government of Yichang city, the Three Gorges Airport and Beijing Mai Tu Travel Agency will jointly develop the tourism market and it is estimated that flights to South Korea are more likely to increase to 118. As for the navigable cities, in addition to Incheon, Daegu, Busan, Cheongju and other cities are in the list of navigable cities. The Yichang-Daegu flights are scheduled to launch on April 9th, the Yichang-Bushan flights on April 10th and Yichang-Cheongju flights in June.

Yu Bin, the deputy general manager of Beijing Mai Tu Travel Agency introduced that in April, the charter flights from Yichang to South Korea are expected to reach six flights per week, a rare frequency all over the country.  (Reporter Chen Xi; Correspondent Li Yang)
