Vice Mayor Yuan Weidong held a thematic office meeting and heard a report from Yichang Municipal Economic and Information Commission about “tens of thousands of cadres entering enterprises”, an activity aiming to solve problems for enterprises, and decided to handle, within a definite time,16 problems confronting 5 industrial enterprises during production, operation and construction.

Since the end of last year, 498 problems have been reported and 361 of them have been solved during that activity. Recently, 51 problems involving 21 industrial enterprises have been collected through Municipal Economic and Information Commission’s reinvestigation and will be submitted to Municipal Government Leadership Thematic Office in batches, among which the first batch involves 16 problems from Hubei Yihua Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., Yichang Xingfa Group Co., Ltd., Angelyeast Co., Ltd., CSG Holding Co., Ltd., Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.. At the thematic office meeting, responsible organizations present respectively claimed all problems from these 5 companies, and specified concrete solutions as well as the deadline.

Yuan demanded everyone to solve problems one by one according to opinions brought forward at the meeting. He said that enterprises at present were at a critical moment of getting over difficulties, so every relevant department should further establish service awareness, improve service and effectively help enterprises solve real problems. Meanwhile, enterprises should actively adapt themselves to the new normal, set up a sense of responsibility and discipline, build a good image, increase investment on environmental protection, standardize production, operation and management, implement the task of “cutting over capacity, destocking, deleveraging, reducing cost and correcting weakness”, and enhance their core competitiveness. Besides, the supervision office of Municipal Government should strengthen supervision, and make sure that all problems reported by enterprises can be effectively solved.  (Reporter: Gao Wei)
