According to the meeting to promote the infrastructure construction, Yichang will start the implementation of free Wi-Fi full coverage in all the public places in downtown areas this month, planning to construct free Wi-Fi hot spots in most of the public places covering ten categories, including city administrative services office, public transport, commercial activities, cultural and sports activities, medical service, education and training places, citizens recreational activities, tourism services, finance service and other public places.　

Free Wi-Fi in public places will be run on a unified management platform. Citizens only need to log in with their phone numbers for once for a permanent validity.

The costs of hot spots construction and post-operation & maintenance will be made overall arrangements in the annual departmental budgets to be borne by these departments and units in charge.
