Qian Minhua, the executive director of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, together with his colleagues, visited Yichang Jinbao Musical Instruments Manufacturing Company of the Perth Music Group. Through the mutual negotiations, the Orchestra decided to designate Jinbao Musical Instrument Company as their manufacturing base for their self-developed environment- friendly violin series.
Violin, as Chinese folk instrument, has been in family- owned and handmade cottage manufacturing model with low output and unstable acoustic fidelity. For years, the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra has been committed to the research of the bass and eventually succeeded in working out the environment-friendly violin series. The violins’ old raw python skin of the appearance materials have been replaced by the new environment- friendly materials, even so, the manufacturing model still relies on handmade cottages, unable to meet the demands.
Wu Tianyan, the president of the Group, said that the excellent experts team for instruments researching and developing in Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra s, complete with a high standard of production lines and one excellent management team in Perth Music Group, we certainly can jointly create a new brand of Chinese folk instruments. We promise to inherit and carry forward the excellent musical culture and the environment- friendly violins series should be given the top priority this year, Wu also said.
