The Chaotianhou International Dragon-boat Drifting Race in natural water areas is held in Xingshan, Yichang. According to the statistics provided by the municipal gymnastic center, there are 1045 “warriors” participating in the race, including 376 oversea drifting team members.
Two legendary “warriors” are sure to participate in the race. Song Yuanqing (one member of Yangtze River drifting team 30 years ago) and Qin Daan (one member of Yellow River drifting team 30 years ago), jointly compete in International Dragon-boat Drifting Race in Yichang. They will share their stories with their team members and relive the past experiences and the passion for the sport.
The Chaotianhou Dragon-boat drifting Race is a 6.5 kilometer-length race with a drop of 148 meters via many scenic spots such as Mountain Wofo, Baduanjing, Jiangjunzhu, and Chaotianhou and so on. (Correspondent: Huang Chunmei; Reporter: Cai Kezhang)
