A grand Dragon Boat Diligence Poetry Slam was held on the square outside the south door of Zigui Phoenix Mountain Scenic Area. Then the curtain descended on the one-month serial Dragon Boat Cultural Festival?activities, with the theme of Dragon Boat Festival in Poetic Yichang, China. Deputy Mayor Wang Yinghua announced the closing of Dragon Boat Cultural Festival in Quyuan’s Hometown.

　　This Dragon Boat Cultural Festival perfectly showed the unique cultural custom of Zigui County with its three Dragon Boat Festivals which fall on June 8, 19 and 29 respectively, corresponding to May 5, 15 and 25 in the lunar calendar, and attracted large amount of correspondents and tourists by six theme celebration activities, including the opening ceremony and the Dragon Boat sacrifice, Poetic?Yichang?poetry recital, dragon boat races, a custom experience activity named I spend the Dragon Boat Festival at the hometown of Quyuan.

　　Driven by the Dragon Boat Cultural Festival, some special folk tourism activities were held in Zhilan Valley, Quyuan’s Hometown and other scenic spots, including Picking Up Chinese Mugwort and Bring Love Back Home (Chinese mugwort and love are homonymous), Qugu Invites You to Spend the Dragon Boat Festival Together, and I Spend the Dragon Boat Festival at the Hometown of Quyuan. These activities made the local tourism once again present a blowout. To be specific, in June this year, tourist?visits?reached?853,514 in total, an increase of 17.29% over last year, and tourism income receipts went up to 92,358 yuan, an increase of 18.55% compared with last year. In addition, 10 projects with a total investment of over 2.6 billion yuan were finalized at the economic and trade negotiation and project signing ceremony in Zigui County at the end of June.
