　　Yesterday, the reporter knew from the municipal construction group that the first phase of urban public bicycle project was to kick off along with the end of fixed site exploration.
　　It is understood that public bicycle system is  a value-added program of Yichang public transport and BRT system, aiming to advocate  green travel, solve citizens’ problem of “last kilometer”( the final and last critical step when solving the perfect connection of all different traffic modes). In October last year, four exemplary bases had been installed in urban area, including the entrance area of Yichang shopping mall in Dongshan Avanue, Administrative Office of Yiling Plaze, the entrance area of Chidren’s Park in Yunji Road, the entrance area of Children’s Park in Xiling First Road, all the four public bicycle service areas have formed a simple “Hui” type network.
　　The bicycle stations in the first phase of the project are located in the enclosed areas of Shengli Third Road, Xiling Second Road, Urban public bicycle Dongshan Avenue and Riverside Avenue. With 28 stations and 700 bicycles, it mainly serves the short distance travel and public transport transshipping of residents along BRT lines and in centre area.
