Then, in addition to the original Internet service of the Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV), the citizens will be able to handle another 21 traffic management services through the Internet service platform, including making an appointment for the second or third subject exam of the driving license test, preselecting the plate number of the vehicles online, reapplying for and changing a vehicle license or a driving license, etc. On August 24th, the related workers from the provincial DMV explained the new changes of the “Internet plus” plate number selection activity for the general public and helped them clear up some doubts and uncertainties.
It is said that the time for the new number selection of the plate license on the Internet in the city starts from September 1st this year, from 8:00 to 22:00 every day. And the owner needs to have his own ID card, the vehicle qualification certificate (import certificate of customs cargo for imported cars), purchase invoices and the owner’s phone number when the activity is carrying out.
There are two ways for the Internet plate number selection activity: one is self-written selection and the other one is the random selection by the system. And the maximum times for self-written selection are 20 times per day, and the other one 10 times per day. Either of the two ways reaches its limit number, the owner will not be able to choose plate number in its way. Apart from this, the owner can switch both of the ways freely and the time limitation for once selection operation is 30 mimutes.
The Internet plate license selection this time is rich in resources with 50,000 plate number once a time on September 1st. And both of the enterprise unit users and individual users can choose plate number through the Internet, but they can only choose plate number for one vehicle at the same time. The users are permitted to choose plate number for the next vehicle only when the selection activity is carried out successfully and the owner confirms the vehicle licensing in the DMV. For some security reasons, currently, only newly purchased small vehicles can choose plate number through the Internet, and the second-hand cars and the cars with a license plate in another city will be taken into account later.
The owner needs to get the vehicle licensing within five working days after the Internet plate number selection, otherwise, he will be blacklisted and then lose the right to choose plate number on the Internet within two years. At the same time, the owner also will be in the blacklist if he abandons the plate number three times, and in order to avoid the situation that someone maliciously seizes the opportunity and then throws it, the abandoned numbers will reenter the system randomly three to six months later.
