From January to July this year, Hubei Huaqiang Science and Technology Development Company earned a profit of 52.2 million Yuan, with 27.01% of increase in terms of profit and 20% of increase in terms of tax pay compared with the previous year. So far, the company has finished 60.7% of its annual production plan.
The company’s main products are medicine package and special protection articles. In 2014, the Central Government implemented the strictest rule ever on the limited use of antibiotics, which resulted in the great decline in the quantity of rubber plug; in the meantime, the Government loosened the control of the filter industry at the civil air defense market. As a result, Huaqiang Company, once occupied 1/3 share of the market, had to compete with over 30 companies now. However, Huaqiang tided over the above difficulties and trade profitably.
“Given to the fierce business competition, we reconstructed products and prolonged industry chain by developing new technology. That is how we take the lead”, Zhang Yongfei, the staff of planning department, told the reporter. In 2016, the enterprise has been seeking to produce advanced diaphragm products, the profit of which increased by 56% compared with the previous year, while the profit of regular diaphragm items declined by 20% than last year. Moreover, the newly upgraded nuclear detection vehicle and emergency shelter car are waiting for the national assessment and approval. If they pass the inspection, they will become the new driving engine of growth.
The company has completed its first attempt in integrating the design, construction and service of civil air defense and extended its industrial chain of air-defense products; through independent research, the company has developed the productive technology of membrane products and achieved the volume production. It has thus become one of the two companies nationwide that have mastered the key processing technology of original materials for membrane products.
Besides, the company has also completed its transformation and upgrading by launching the lean automatic reform. Its self-developed automatic production line—rubber plug manufacturing execution system was put into operation, which is the first production line of this kind among domestic industries. The welding robots, plastic irrigation robot, automatic light inspection machines and other automated equipment have increasingly been used to replace the manual workers in various production processes.
