The signing ceremony of 12 new innovative projects, which are worth 2.1 bln yuan, was held on August 31, 2016. Zhou Zhenying, deputy Mayor of the Yichang City, hosted the ceremony. Mr. Zhuang Guangming, member of the Yichang CPPCC Municipal Committee, attended the ceremony.
On that day, the Gaoxin District successfully signed contracts with 12 enterprises coming from different places such as Beijing, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Jiangsu and Guangdong. The major contracts include: an investment of 550 mln made by Zhongshan Runye Hardware Machinery Company, which will be used for manufacturing new energy battery, advanced machinery and industrial robots; an investment of 500 mln on protein inhibitor manufacturing made by Wuhan Comfort Biotechnology Company; a 120-million investment for Xiajing Biomedicine Inspection Center co-established by Jiangsu Uninovo Biological Technology Company. All in all, the signed projects cover many fields such as biomedicine, advanced equipment manufacturing, new material, electronic information and e-commerce logistics.
If the above projects are completed, Yichang will be the first to develop and manufacture the medicine that helps prevent and treat the kidney stone, and can also conduct a third-party detection of tumor and babies’ hereditary diseases.
Mr. Zhuang Guangming points out: The advanced protein inhibitor and Xiajing Biomedicine Inspection Center projects belong to the innovative Sci-tech projects of the national “Thousand Talents Programs”. These two projects, together with the other ten ones, will definitely boost the development of Yichang’s industrial innovation and restructuring. He hopes that the parties of each contract will speed up the construction of the above projects. The person responsible for each industrial park will act as the Chief Service Officer of the project, and will coordinate all relations to guarantee the smooth operation of the construction. Strong policy support and all-round services will be provided by the different offices of the Yichang municipal government.
Since the beginning of this year, the Gaoxin District has signed 61 investment contracts and 6 framework deals, with nearly 20 of projects having been launched. Most of them are related to electronic information industry and biological medicine field. Next year, Yichang will have the capability to produce 10 million displayers. In the field of biological medicine, a group of projects with the international fame have been settled down in Yichang. All will strengthen Yichang’s high-level and new technological development.
