Yichang Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau informed that Hubei Fomdas Food Co., Ltd successfully passed the most stringent on-site inspection of US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) yesterday, which also means that the company’s products can enter US market faster and more conveniently.

　　FDA, internationally recognized as one of the largest food and drug regulatory agency in the world, has extremely strict products inspection standards. Particularly, the bill in the its food industry was identified as the highest food safety standards by the World Health Organization. During the inspection, the FDA’s inspectors mainly inspected the company’s factory environment, sanitary status and the production and processing conditions in the workshops. At the same time, they also carefully reviewed the company's quality system documentation and production records.

　　The company exports 14,000 tons of canned products annually, including canned oranges and peaches, which mainly exported to European and American markets, earning US $ 11 million per year. So far, there are three companies, which have passed the official inspection of FDA and the another two companies are Angel Yeast and Jia Yuan Food. The three companies’ exports food value of America reached US $ 11 million from January to August this year, increased 31.2% compared with the same period last year.

　　To help the companies pass the inspection, Yichang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has set up information communication mechanism for checking companies and work mechanism for accepting the external checking and directed enterprises to improve the related measures according to the key points in the examination.
