　　(Journalists Li Zaixing and Wang Ying, Correspondent Shi Zhan)The city tourism has achieved a good economic benefit in the first half of year: the city received 3137.67 thousand domestic and foreign tourists, breaking through the tourism income of RMB 30000 million yuan in the first time and reaching 30063 million yuan, with increasing of reaching 23.66 percent and 30.79 percent respectively and the two indicators are higher than the average level of the whole province. This is the information that the reporters obtained from the city’s tourism summary for the first half year and from the promotion meeting for the latter half of the year on August 3rd .
　　For the tourism work from June to December, Zhou Zhengying, deputy mayor put forward four requirements: first, we will comprehensively improve the overall level centered on core products, infrastructures, public services, urban and rural environment and marketing. Second, we will highlight the construction of key projects. Third, we will push for progress in transformation and integration. Last, we will concentrate our efforts on the following four things: we will construct tourist and ecological landscape corridors, develop featured shopping and accommodation, open the cycled buses and build featured tourist towns to ensure that the tourism work of our city to create a new record.
　　This year, the status of city’s tourism is significantly improved in Hubei province and China and Yichang becomes one of the major tourist cities in China. The city attended the national tourism working conference of 2016 and was put into the list of China’s international tourism destinations (China’s International Water Conservancy Tourism Destinations).
