The Zhixi Yangtze River Bridge, 3.23km long with total investment of 2.767 billion yuan, not only secures the operation of Gezhouba Water Project and Three Gorges Projects but also brings easier transportation to more than one million residents.
Zhixi Yangtze River Bridge has completed. The outer ring expressway network of the city has formed. Mojishan Forest Park becomes the city logo landscape. Juanqiaohe Wetland Park makes citizens expected… Dianjun District on the southern bank of Yangtze River is taking lead in construction of the new district and has become the fastest growing and changing ecological tourism zone in Yichang.
Endowed with the favorable ecological condition and at the time of building Yichang into a mega-city, Dianjun District has been endeavoring in the construction of southern Yangtze River tourism corridor project, that is to connect Xiling Gorge and Three Gorges Tribe in the north, Changyang Danshui New District and Qingjiang Landscape Gallery in the south. Thus, the tourism ring road of Three Gorges Tribe is opened and new structure of tourism in Yichang is formed.
Dianjun determines Chexi, Mingcuigu Valley, and five-star agritainment tourism companies as the pilot projects. Three city toilets for tourists in east valley of Mojishan Forest Park, along the Jiangnan Avenue and Zhushijie are completed. The task of construct of toilets in Chexi and Mingcuigu tourism areas are 100% completed. Meanwhile, Party committee and government of Dianjun decided to construct two tourism signboards near Wulong Xiaqiao and the entrance of No.12 Middle School additionally. The construct is over fulfilled, and the finishing rate is 200%. It provides solid base for the future guidance sign system in tourism roads in Dianjun District.
According to the plan of Yichang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Dianjun New District will be the riverbank ecological new district of multi-functions including ecological living, tourism, culture, sports, entertainment, education, scientific research, convalescence and green industries. By 2030, Dianjun New District will be the glamorous new district featured with “poetic scenery, ecological livable”. The population of new district will be 465 thousand. The area will be 41.74 square kilometers and land for road and traffic infrastructure will be 7.6834 million square meters. Dianjun will finally be completed as the new city of creativity, ecology, science, education, and tourism. During the 13th five-year plan, Dianjun will concentrate on the implementation of the national, industrial and local standard in rural tourism and regulate the tourism, tourism products and tourism terminology through the tourism standardization construction. In order to provide solid ground for the tourism development in Dianjun, public awareness and resonance of the standard should be spread, the tourism standard should be implemented to further improve the quality of tourism products, foster tourism industry brand and improve the tourism service quality and the core competitiveness.
The future Dianjun will accelerate the construction of tourism standard and grasp the chance of the construction of mega-city and Three Gorge New Tourism Zone. Based on the advantage of ecology, it will construct a unique tourism area and strive to be the key engine of urban tourism.
