(Reporter Wang Suzhi; Intern Chen Yingying; Correspondent Wu Xinhua) “The development of Yichang is so fast. It is changing every year.” Zhou Hao, a student from Yichang studying in France said on 5th August when visiting Zhixi Yangtze River Bridge.
Invited by municipal overseas Chinese association, over 50 overseas Chinese visiting family on vacation and representatives of students studying abroad visited Zhixi Yangtze River Bridge, Olympic Sports Center, Yichang Planning Exhibition Hall and Yichang Qiusuo Start-up Center. They inspected the achievement of megacity construction in Yichang and experienced the changes of hometown.
It is said that the overseas Chinese and students studying abroad returned from the US, UK, Canada, France, Italy and Australia to meet family on vacation. Some of them have set up their companies abroad with the intention to find business opportunities. Some have studied abroad for years and are prepared to return hometown to contribute the motherland with their talent.
After the visit, they also attended the symposium of “Seeing Yichang after Returning from Abroad” held by Yichang New District.
