Tianlong Bay Approved as the China Forest Health-Preserving Base

It’s known from the Municipal Forestry Bureau that at the 2016 Summit Forum of Forest Leisure and Health taking place in Changbai Mountain, Jilin Province, the Yidu Tianlong Bay National Wetland Park is honored as “China Forest Health-preserving Base”, one of the 14 places obtaining the honorary title for the first time nationwide.

Through the first-round examination of application documents, experts’ on-the-spot inspection, the associations’ collective examination, the public display of the assessment results via the media, the Yidu Tianlong Bay National Wetland Park has finally been approved as the China Forest Health-Preserving Base for its beautiful ecological environment, rich cultural heritage, perfect health-preserving environment and advanced construction ideas.

It’s said that the Tianlong Bay National Wetland Park possesses the 777 species of plants belonging to 151 families and 481 categories, 7 species of amphibians of 3 families, 19 species of reptiles of 7 families, 106 species of birds of 33 families, 81 species of butterflies of 8 families. In addition, there are three zones with over 1,000 egrets inhabiting on each of them, and Chinese mergansers, the first-class protected animal, are found in the park.
