Prior to the Golden Week of “National Day”, over 30 experts of the industry gathered in Yichang to participate in the Technology Committee’s 7th Plenary Meeting of ISO/TC256 “Pigment, Dye and Extender Pigment” sponsored by the National Standardization Committee. At this meeting, the draft of the international standard of “Fumed Silica’s Application in Silicon Rubber”, proposed by companies such as the Xingfa Group, Guangzhou Jibisheng Technology Co., CNOOC Changzhou Research Institute of Coating and Chemical Industry, was submitted for the final approval.

The International Standardization Organization (ISO), a non-governmental organization worldwide, is currently the international-standard maker in the majority of fields. During the three-day meeting, the experts fully discussed the comparison-experiment results as well as the draft of the international standard for manufacturing “Fumed Silica’s Application in Silicon Rubber”. At the end of the meeting, the Technology Committee made the resolution to consent to entering into the DIS stage and release the final result before May, 2017. According to the chairman of the Technology Committee: Martin Reisinger from Germany, Chinese enterprises have played the leading roles in establishing the international standards of the industry, which will help them better participate in the international communication and cooperation and make contributions to promote the Chinese technological standards to be the international ones.

The Xingfa Group is China’s largest fine phosphorus chemical engineering enterprise, with its production and sales volume of fine phosphate ranking No. 1 globally. In recent years, relying on the scientific- and- technological- innovation platforms like the National Enterprise’s Technological Center, the National Hi-tech Enterprise, the National-standard Laboratory, the National Post-doctoral Scientific Research Station, etc., the Xingfa Group actively participated in drafting and establishing 24 national standards and 17 industrial standards. As the downstream company of Xingfa Group’s industrial chain of organosilicon, the Guangzhou Jibisheng Technology Co. is the largest fume silica manufacturer with most advanced technologies, and with core intellectual properties and proprietary technologies, thus becomes the first to draw up the international standard for “Fumed Silica’s Application in Silicon Rubber”. “Actively participating in the international standards’ drafting- and-establishment work and striving to keep in line with international practice will help the Xingfa Group to win more discourse power in the international market.” said the chairman of the Xingfa Group Li Guozhuang. He also told the reporter that since this project was proposed three years ago, the company has completed project approval of NWIP (New Working Project), voting for the committee draft, and getting approval for the committee, and so on.
