Recently, the reporter learns from the Health and Family-planning Bureau in Xiling Area that,  they have introduced more than 19 medical staff with intermediate professional title, invited 35 experts from the Third Grade Class A hospitals in turns to diagnose in grass-roots hospital, and trained 120 basic medical personnel and 68 general practitioners At the same time after the implementation of  “one rural one college student acting as rural doctors” and “targeted training, oriented employment” projects, they have cultivated 9 medical personnel at present. In 2016, Xiling Area has recruited 20 community health service talents including10 general practitioners after the examination opened to the public.
It is reported that Yichang city has continuously improved its rural doctors’ service ability and quality in the forms of training project, continuing education and counterpart assistance. In January 2014, Yichang municipal government took the lead in carrying out “free” training project of rural doctor with college degree by issuing the Implementation Suggestions on Strengthening the Constructions of Rural Clinics and Rural Doctor Team. In the "Implementation Programs of the Orientated and Entrusted Training of Yichang Rural Doctors jointly issued by the Municipal Health and Planning Commission, Municipal Finance Bureau and Municipal Education Bureau and Municipal the People Club Bureau, they have clarified the training objectives, implementation methods and safeguard measure of the orientated and entrusted training.
