The 13th Wuhan Agricultural Expo of China was held at Wuhan International Conference & Exhibition Center from October 28th to 31st. The vice Mayor Wang Guobin, Member of the Standing Committee of Municipal Committee, took the Yichang delegation composed of 58 agricultural enterprises of 13 counties like the leading enterprises of agricultural industrialization, farmers’ professional cooperatives, entertained agricultural demonstration enterprises and commercial enterprises of agriculture with more than 200 kinds of superior quality agriculture products to attend the Wuhan Expo.
With the theme of “the citrus and tea’s hometown, the green Yichang”, workers of Yichang pavilion designed and decorated the pavilion specially. In this Expo, some local products, such as Tulaohan, Qugu foodstuff, Yizhi konjak, Caihua tea industry, Laogaohuang eco-agricultural enterprise, Yufu technology, Taosanxia electric commerce and citrus institute in Yichang, were all displayed in the Expo. The products and enterprises in the Expo including some advantaged enterprises like citrus, tea, vegetables, aquatic products, edible fungus and cereals and so on, comprehensively demonstrated the industrialized construction achievements of agriculture and development level of modern agriculture in Yichang.
According to the introduction of Xiong Changquan, the secretary of the Party and the chief of Agricultural Bureau of Yichang, in recent years, Yichang government constantly opens up sales market of agricultural products by “bringing in and going out” strategy of holding festivals and participating in various exhibitions, which focus on “supply reformation, industrial integration, innovation-driven development", and it has achieved remarkable achievements. At present, over 1000 kinds of high-quality agricultural products are sold to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other large and medium-sized cities successfully by various exhibition platforms, and some of them have been exported to the United States, Europe, Japan, Africa,  Southeast Asia, and other countries and regions. Grasping the opportunity of the Agricultural Expo, Yichang government will help agricultural enterprises improve agricultural products online display, trade, investment, logistics and others by the aid of e-commerce platform and modern media technology, to expand sales channels and market of agricultural products.
This Agricultural Fair, with 20 thousand square meters’ exhibition area, has set up nine exhibition areas that are modern agriculture exhibition area of Hubei province, urban modern agriculture exhibition area, outside-provinces and cities’ agricultural exhibition area and international agricultural exhibition area, beautiful countryside and leisure agriculture exhibition area, "Internet plus agriculture” exhibition area, modern agricultural reclamation exhibition area, seedling and flower exhibition area, agricultural production exhibition area and rural new energy exhibition area.(Li Pengfei, Fang Suzhen)
