According to the unified deployment of State Administration and the Provincial Bureau, Yichang recently has made a sudden and random inspection to the moon-cake production enterprises in the whole city to prevent recirculated moon-cakes.
Based on the moon-cake production and selling in Mid-autumn day, the government has checked major enterprises’ production and operation through their ledger records and shelf warehouses in the selective examination. Attention was focused on the production quantity, sales volumes and other situations, such as returning from the market and moon-cakes unsold. More emphasis was also given to the disposal of trouble moon-cakes including cakes that exceeded expire date, off the shelves and recovered. Meanwhile, it has also inspected and guided the implementation of the production and management of food in corporations.
The urgent inspection covered 25 moon-cake production enterprises in the whole city, three of which had unsold moon-cakes. In the three companies, one company distributed them to the employees as the welfare; and the other two recovered and gave them to farm households, both of whom saved the recovery and damage records.
The circulation part was mainly carried out in main districts like Xiling district and Wujiagang district and Chengguan town. Ten large supermarkets like Wal-Mart, the Beishan Convenience, Yasi Supermarkets and RT-Mart were inspected and no violation was found. （Wang Lingyun, Shi Yaoxuan）
