Yesterday, the reporter got the news from briefing meeting on the supervision and rectification of the city’s transportation system that at present the 1521km,rural highway was built up in Yichang, traffic infrastructure constructions in 88 poor villages listed this year have been completed roughly, the transport rate of inter-village commuter buses reached 86% in the whole city. It was reported that in this year he rural highway construction capital of 164.72million RMB was ensured by financial transfer payment in Yichang, striving for 461km highway in life security project and grant funds of 24.25million RMB. Up to the end of October, in the whole city 1521km rural highway and 233km life security project have been completed whose total amount of investment was 0.66 billion RMB.
In the meantime, the reshaping on public transport from county to countryside was propelled step by step. There were 75 of 87 villages, working out the public transport operation, the rate of which was 86%. The 100% of that was in Yuan’an, Zhijiang, Yiling area, Yidu, Dangyang, Dianjun etc. In terms of intercity bus, 807 Route from Yichang to Yuan’an was launched this year, up to now, nine routes of intercity bus have been launched in Xingshan, Yidu, Wufeng, Changyang, Yuan’an, Three Gorges Dam area, Honghuatao etc, the citizens in the urban and rural gradually going out with cheap tickets conveniently. In terms of city bus, this year there were three new bus routes newly opened, five routes adjusted and optimized in Yichang, and BRT runs in a more normative way. On June 29th , the city bus route was opened officially in Zigui county, now the city bus has covered overall counties and cities in Yichang.
