(Reporter Huang Chunmei) It was reported on November the 8th that the Twelfth Sino-American Film Festival was held recently in Hollywood, LA of America. “Earthly Fireworks”, which was filmed in Yichang, produced by a Yichang girl named Zhao Jingyi last year and renamed as “Superposition of Love”, has shown itself globally in more than one thousand films and got the nominated award with other 59 Chinese films.
As a Sino-American film culture industry event, the annually film festival has attracted worldwide attention. Chinese outstanding dramas like “the Legend of Miyue”, “Nirvana in Fire” and “Decryption”, the annual hot films like “Mr. six”, “Xuan Zang”, “ A Chinese Odyssey PartIII ”, together with “Operation Mekong” were all presented in the festival and won awards.
The film “Superposition of Love” was co-produced by the Beijing Tianshu Rongda Culture Media Limited Company, Hubei Yangtze River Film Group Co.Ltd. and Zhengnengliang Limited Company in Wuxi. It tells the love between Li Zhuo, a rich second-generation from the Chinese mainland, and Park-Ok, a beautician from Korea. Due to a car accident, Park-Ok gets into a deep coma, but Li Zhuo decides to take care of the girl despite his parents’ opposition. At this time, Li Zhuo's financial resource has been cut off by his parents, so he has to start a business to make a living, and bears huge medical expenses. Two tears later, Park-Ok comes to herself with turbid memory and takes Li Zhuo as her father accidentally. Li has to struggle and strive, gradually gets rid his bad habits as a silver-spoon kid, goes beyond himself, defeats the rivals in love and wins back the girl’s love.
In the story, Park-Ok is taken to a hospital by an ambulance. When it passes the tunnel, cars along the way are all in conscious comity and set aside a life passage. This plot is the reproduction of a real and touching scene happening in Yichang Dongshan tunnel on the night of December 22nd, 2014. Another important Yichang element in the film is the silkworm and silk in Yuan’ an, the hometown of Leizu, representing that the heroine experiences a transformation process after losing her memory. There are still many other shots about the silk and body painting.
The film script has been revised five times, integrating Changyang Tujia folk songs, Chinese shadow puppetry in Yiling district, Zigui folk tupan and other intangible cultural heritages. It not only tells warm and touching love stories, but also promotes the socialist core values, spreading a desirable and unforgettable taste of Yichang. In the film, you can see Yichang people’s performance, Yichang’s beautiful landscapes and Yichang’s custom.
The main characters in the film are from China and Korea. The leading actor Young hyun Lee is from Jeonnam area, Kwangju city of South Korea; and the leading lady is starred by Pan Siyu, the school babe of Chongqing University. Apart from four leading roles, other actors are all from Yichang auditions, casting roles like a nurse, journalist, secretary, driver, PR manager and tour guide.
The producer Zhao Jingyi, born in Guizhou town, Zigui County, was graduated from Department of Performance, Central Academy of Drama and is regarded as one of the future star of post-85 movie producers in China. She takes the film production team with an average age of less than 24 years old and persists in her dreams. After winning the award, she told reporters, “ the most unforgettable memory in childhood is mom’s taste, the earth in my hometown and the rhododendron simsii on the mountain. Yichang, the home of my childhood, is the most livable city.” She explained that the reason for the renaming of the movie as “Superposition of Love” originated from the Chinese proverb——a daughter is her father’s lover in the previous existence.
It is reported that the film “Superposition of Love” will be released at the end of this month in the domestic cinemas.
