The reporter was informed that, on November 9th, the Forum of National Healthy City and Township, namely the Opening Ceremony of Pilot Healthy City, was held in Hangzhou. The first group of 38 national pilot healthy cities were proclaimed at this ceremony, among which Yichang is the only one in this project around Hubei Province.
The project aims at meeting the needs of those residents and realizing the mutual development between city construction and people’s health development by perfecting city’s planning, construction and management, improving natural and social environment, health-care services, popularizing healthy lifestyle. The efforts of building “healthy city” is the continuation of National Sanitary City.
