On November 9, 2016, the result of Top 10 Treasures Tourism Route was released by the National Tourism Administration. With Yichang being the traveling destination and the turning point, two treasure tourism routes, named “the treasure tourism route of Yangtze River” and “the most beautiful national road No.318,the treasure tourism route for self-driving travel”, are on the list .
    The selection activity, sponsored by the Aoyou Travel Network of CYTS and China Daily and  Xinhua, was held by the National Tourism Administration and launched in September, 2016. Through analyzing big data and researching the vitality of the domestic tourists’ actual touring routes in the past five years , the result of Top 10 Treasures Tourism Routes were proclaimed after the primary election of network voting and the re-evaluation of the experts, said the reporter.
Moreover, the treasure tourism route of Yangtze River can have access to Nanjing city (the Mr. Sun Yat-sen’s Mausoleum), Hefei, Wuhan (the Yellow Crane Tower), Yichang, Chongqing (the Three Gorges) and Yibing. The most beautiful national road No.318, the treasure tourism route for self-driving travel, stretches across the eastern, central and western China, connecting the following cities and scenic spots such as Shanghai (where the Oriental Pearl Tower is located), Huzhou, Xuancheng ( Longchuan Scenic Spot in Jixi county), Wuhan(where the East Lake Ecological Scenic Spot is located), Yichang(the Three Gorges Dam), Chongqing, Nanchong, Chengdu, Ya’an county, Kangding, Litang, Batang, Linzhi, Lhasa(where the Potala Palace is located) and the Friendship Bridge.
