Nowadays, it is quite common to buy whatever we want in the “Double Eleven Festival”, as in this year, Tmall’s turnover has achieved 120.7 billion of RMB in just one day, far more than last year’s 91.217 billion. According to the data released by Tmall, the goods that Yichang people purchased have reached 290 million of RMB.
According to the Tmall’s “Double Eleven Festival” data, people from Hubei Province paid 4.87 billion of RMB in total during 24 hours, whose turnover ranked the eighth in China. Among them, Wuhan people account for the majority of the consumers; they spent 2.57 billion of RMB, followed by people in Yichang, who spent 290 million of RMB. It’s learnt that on November 11th, Hubei consumers only used 15 hours and 36 minutes to exceed last year’s “Double Eleven Festival” turnover of 3.821 billion of RMB.
Tmall’s data shows that in Hubei, both men and women are online shopaholics. 41 percent of snap-up crowd are men. On that day, the most popular products in Hubei are “winter storage”, including down coats, woolen jackets and boots, followed by electronic products, such as mobile phones and tablet computers, and then are facial care products. Young consumers are the absolute main force, 27% of people under the age of 25, 26 to 35 year-old accounted for 46%.
Merchants in Hubei also did well. In the list of the commodities they sold, DIY compatibles, facial care products, senior ladies’ clothing, woolen jackets and microwave ovens are among the top 5.
In this battle of e-businessmen, Yichang merchants performed well. According to the statistics given by the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, in this year’s “Double Eleven Festival”, Yichang electronic commercial enterprises made excellent achievements, with Anqi e-commerce sales of 8 million of RMB, Yu Fu Yuan sales of 8 million of RMB, international trade cross-border e-business online sales of 5 million of RMB, offline sales of 1 million of RMB, Ji Lei Xiao Jia sales of 3 million of RMB, Jue Miao e-commerce sale of 5 million of RMB and Yi Wo e-commerce sale of 2 million of RMB. Among them, in Anqi, the sale volume in just one hour exceeded that of the whole day in last year.
One of the positive influences of Yichang electronic commercial enterprises is that Yichang’s agricultural products have been sold to the whole nation through internet. Fruits from Yufuyuan occupied the top 3 of the fruit venue of the “Double Eleven Festival”, among which the winner was navel orange from Zigui, receiving 80,000 orders in one day and sales volume of nearly 350,000 kilograms, and eggs were the No.1 sales among all the other eggs sales online. Meanwhile, Yichang Jue Miao e-commerce Co., Ltd. mainly runs Taobao featured China Pavilion, Jingdong Yichang Museum two platforms and Ali Zhijiang Village Amoy project; through the network platform, they carry out local agricultural and sideline products sales in Yichang.
