On November 12th, the second “Quanshui Honey Pomelo Festival” hosted by Quanshui Village, Lianpeng Township of Dianjun District started. It is reported that this activity will last a week, and citizens can go there through self-driving tour or package tour and enjoy themselves by picking pomelos.
On that morning, over 800 tourists went there specially to pick and taste pomelos, celebrating the harvest together with local villagers. According to Luo Yu, the village secretary of the party branch, during the weekend over 2,800 tourists visited Quanshui Village and bought more than 30,000 honey pomelos, and some other kinds of pomelos. The income from the pomelos amounted to 300,000 yuan. Thanks to this festival, more than 500 kilograms sweet potatoes, pumpkins, wild vegetables, bacon, honey and other subsidiary agricultural products were sold out, and the villagers also earned more than 60,000 yuan from farmhouse meals.
