On December 20th, 2016, Gezhouba Public Security Bureau organized more than 200 civilian police, armed police and security personnel to practice the 2016 Gezhouba key project anti-terrorist exercise in Gezhouba key Project spot, making sure the projects’ absolute security of its closed management. In the exercise field, civilian police, armed police and security personnel took actions without hesitation, killed a tenacious resistant “terrorist” and other two “terrorists” captured by the policemen, so the potential danger was removed in time.
At 9 a.m. on that day, the Anti-terrorist Exercise Deputy Office received the personnel report that three “terrorists” disguised as temporary workers at the project construction switch station driving a civilian white car which crossed the vigilance and ran into the dam road. Upon knowing it, the Anti-terrorist Exercise Deputy Office rapidly started emergency plans and urgently assembled armed forces to start emergent sudden fighting.
The anti-terrorist commando successfully intercepted the “terrorists’ car” by setting up obstacles on the road, making them abandon the vehicle and then fled into the dike. The armed police patrol, the public security police patrol and the lock police officers quickly controlled the highway of the surface of the Huangcao Dam and the second lock entrance, blocking the “terrorists’” retreat. Subsequently, after being intercepted at the Sculpture Square by the anti-terrorist commando, the “terrorists” put up a last-ditch resistance by setting the shed on fire and hold a weapon toward the policemen, at that moment, the public security anti-terrorist commando shot at the “terrorists” without flinching; one was killed, the other two were captured alive by the police. At the same time, the firefighting went on smoothly and the fire was extinguished at last. This drill covered several tactical subjects like organization and command, police presence, chase and interception and siege and arrest, said Hua Yong, the political commissar of Gezhouba Public Security Sub-bureau.
The anti-terrorist drill is aimed to verify the combat level of the armed forces of this project, which can effectively improve the troop’s ability to handle terror emergency, and ensure the absolute safety of Gezhouba Dam.
