Urban Residents Health Report Released

(Reporter Yang Jing, Correspondent Liu Huarong) On the morning of December 22nd, Yichang Municipal Center for Health Management and  Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention held a conference on 2015 Yichang Urban Residents Health Report (hereinafter referred as the Report) and released the 183 indexes of residents’ health after a survey.
The Report involved urban residents in Yichang City, including four administrative districts of Xiling district, Wujiagang district, Dianjun district and Xiaoting district. The reporter learned that, compared with 2014, many indicators became better, like prevalence of stroke, the incidence rate of growth retardation and obese children, the intake of fruits and vegetables, the time of static behaviors and regular exercise rate, infant mortality, mortality of children under the age of five, the maternal mortality rate, breastfeeding rate, incidence rate of low birth weight infants, the report incidence rate of communicable diseases (including foot and mouth disease, tuberculosis, dysentery, angina parotidea, influenza, gonorrhea, and measles), cure rate and treatment completion rate of new smear positive patients, TB/HIV double infection rate, the filing rate of health, the health management rate of pregnant women, hypertension, and diabetes health management rate.
It is also learned that many indicators in our city are better than the average level of the province, such as the life expectancy, the prevalence of diabetes, residents’ health literacy level, adult smoking rate, adult daily intake of fruits, the time of static behaviors and regular exercise rate, infant mortality, the mortality of children under five, tuberculosis registration report rate and so on.
