It was learned on February 5thfrom the authority of the Xiling District that, right after the Spring Festival, the implementation of such preliminary work as farmer relocation and land transfer of the Yichang Tangerine Eco-park (hereafter referred to as the Park) Project in the district will be speeded up, and the Park is to be built into a country park of national quality.
According to the project planning, the Park stands to the east of Xiazhou Avenue and south of Fazhan Avenue, with a total planning area of 6,500 mu, 2,000 of which will be occupied by a tangerine garden, covering Yuanlinchang, Heihushan Village, Shiban Village. And within the planning area, such main urban roads as Xiazhou Road, Fazhan Road and the extended section of Zhongnan Road intersect while Yichang-Huangshi Expressway, Yichang-Zigui Expressway and the extended section of Gangyao Road (in the planning) pass through.
It is told that the Park, with anintended investmentof 1.5 billion yuan, will be built into a chain product group combining fine orchard, standardized planting, characteristic industry town, high-end health industry, tourism, ecological agriculture, scientific research base and citrus horticulture expo park, relying on the resource superiority of the original place, the original ecology and the original style.
Party Secretary of Yaowan Township, Qin Tao said that the park project follows a three-step-in-three-year plan. And the main task of this year is carrying out planning and design, fine orchard transformation, infrastructure construction, farmer relocation and land transfer, and the preliminary work has already been started. In 2018, the emphasis will be put on the implementation of park landscape reconstruction and the construction of a scientific research base, forestry afforestation, citrus horticulture expo park and a training center for rural practical talents. And a PPP model will be adopted in 2019 to introduce market players and organize a professional operating company to implement the operation.
When the project is under construction, the natural landscape, cultural history, social economy and other regional characteristics will be studied, and the quality transformation is to be implemented of the tangerine of the core protection area within the origin.
It is estimated by an expert group from China Tourism Design Institute and the Planning and Design Institute of Wuhan University that the Park, when completed, will have an average daily tourist reception capacity of 1,350 people and an annual capacity of 410 thousand people.(Reporter: Gong Changjun)
