On February 16, the good news coming from Yichang Municipal Development and Reform Commission was that Three Gorges Grand Waterfalls in Yichang has passed the quality review of national 5A tourist area successfully, and been formally listed in the tentative list of establishing national 5A tourist area

　　As the only scenic spot for competitive appraisal in Hubei province, Three Gorges Grand Waterfalls competed with other 23 domestic scenic spots on the meeting of Landscape Quality Review of National 5A Tourist Area held by National Tourism Administration in 2017. Finally, experts all agreed that Three Gorges Grand Waterfalls had the quality requirements of national 5A tourist area with its magnificent and rich landscape resources, high degree of appropriateness for strolling about or having a rest, also its uniqueness of the tourism resources and landscape belonged to the world-class. Then nearly 2 billion RMB would be invested into the Three Gorges Grand Waterfalls, and some outstanding projects like Visitor Center, Cable Car in the scenic spot and Tourism Toilet would be built.
