Rural tourism themed “Meet in Yiling in Colorful Seasons” was launched at Shangyang village of Huanghua town in Yiling district on March 16th, 2017. Chen Yongdi, chairman of CPPCC in Jing’an district of Shanghai, and Song Wenbao, chairman of the municipal CPPCC of Yichang, attended the ceremony.

　　The commissioners from Jing’an district, the assistance partner with Yiling, were sent to plan the future development of the district with local people. While enjoying the beautiful landscape of Yiling, they planted saplings together with Yichang people, making joint efforts to protect the ecological environment along the Yangtze River.

　　During the ceremony, villages including Juntianba village, Xiangyansi village and Jinhe village were granted the honor of “Ten Most Beautiful Villages” by the government of Yiling district. Furthermore, ten themed activities also brought audiences a feast of eyes, such as Yiling Customs Show, 2016 Photograph Exhibition of Rural Tourism, Rural Customs Show of Intangible Cultural Heritage, and Yiling Fair of Agricultural Specialty Products, Fitness Outdoor Hiking and Bonfire Party for Sampling of Specialties.

　　As an influential brand for rural tourism in Hubei province, “Meet in Yiling in Colorful Seasons” has been held successfully for two years by now. And six exquisite tourist routes were offered in this session, including tours of “Tea Fragrance” sightseeing, “Forest, Gorges and Falls” along the Huangbohe River, “Rustic Charm of Fantastic Rocks” appreciation, “Orange and Rice Fragrance” appreciation, “Singing aloud on the Prairie” in Bailihuang scenic spot and “Blossom in Colorful Fields” in Fenxiang town. On that day, 20 thousand tourists were attracted for sightseeing, pleasure and tasting local dishes with nostalgia.

　　In recent years, overall planning has been carried out in Yiling for the combined development of agriculture and tourism, moving the district forward to become the model district of modern agriculture in China, the member of Top Ten Tourism Districts in China, the national Demonstration Area of Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism and the member of the Best Holiday Resorts in China.
