During the Tomb-Sweeping period, flowers are coming out with a rush accompanied by spring drizzle. However, the drizzle did not stop visitors’ passion going for an outing. Traditional sweeping, going to outskirt to enjoy flowers and self-driving travel became the main activity of Tomb-sweeping Day, which served as a prelude to the high season of tourism of this year. During Tomb-sweeping Day, a total of 1.5247million tourists at home and abroad visited Yichang, which achieved the total tourism revenue of $824 million, with year-on-year growth of 17.39%, 21.89% respectively.

　　All counties in Yichang continued to launch various tourism products for tourists from March, and Municipal Tourism Commission made "2017 hand-drawn map for enjoying flowers", providing an authoritative reference for tourists. During the holiday, many activities have been held in Yichang, such as, the Sakura photography contest in Xingshan County, literary and art workers going deep among the masses activity and “tourism story" awards ceremony in the "hometown of Zhaojun". Peach blossoms in Zhijiang Anfu Temple, rape flowers in Yuan'an, flowers field in Dangyang, papaya flowers in Changyang, etc. appealed to many tourists. A lot of tourists from Wuhan and surrounding areas of Yichang came to Yichang to enjoy flowers, take photos, and draw paintings, and they fully enjoyed the beauty of the countryside.

　　With the successful establishment of provincial tourism towns, villages and leisure agriculture spots, more choices are given to citizens to experience rural tourism. During the holiday, after sweeping tombs, visiting relatives, people chose to stop by rural tourist spots to relax, and the independent travel maintained the popular developments. The farmhouses and picking gardens in Yuan’an County and Yiling district attracted many tourists.
